Delegates to the Virginia House in every district (100 seats).
There are 100 House districts in Virginia, so I will not try to list all candidates, but I'll get the ones in the Northern Virginia region. Bolded districts are key competitive races.
If you are unsure of your district, check your voter registration card or visit congress.org, click the "State Officials" near the top on the left side and enter your zipcode and plus four to find out your own district and current elected representatives in each office. Alternatively, you can check vote-smart.org and enter your zipcode and plus four to get the same information.
13th District (where I live; lots of South central Loudon county and the North-Western 2/3rds of Prince William county):
- Bruce Roemmelt (D) - a moderate Democract, veteran, retired fire-fighter, and educator.
- Bob Marshall (R) - an extremist infiltrator, posing as a Republican, but working only two issues: Delegate Marshall wants to make all methods for preventing pregnancy (aside from abstinence) illegal, and he wants to make it illegal for any two members of the same sex to sign any contract together.
28th District (part of Fauquier county):
29th District:
31st District (part of Fauquier county):
- Bill Day, Jr (D) - Go Bill Go! No one thought he had a chance 6 months ago, now I think he is running pretty close!
- L. Scott Lingamfelter (R) - Lingamfelter is perhaps the 3rd or 4th nuttiest neo-con in the current house of delegates, and therefore tops my list of Delegates to throw out of office (coming in behind Marshall and Albo)
32nd District (Eastern Loudon county):
- David Poisson (D) - Poisson has proved to be a good Delegate, and he deserves another term
- Lynn Chapman (R) - I do not know much about Lynn Chapman, but Delegate Poisson gives me no reason to consider her, he is the man for the job. This district is still recovering from the embarassment that was Baby-Pesticides Black.
33rd District:
34th District:
35th District (Fairfax):
36th District (Reston):
- Kenneth Plum (D)
- Looks like Ken Plum gets a pass this time, no one is opposing him... how is this democracy?
37th District (Fairfax):
- David Bulova (D) This open seat will be one of the hottest races in VA. A moderately Republican seat that Chap Peterson (who retired to run unsuccessfully for Lt. Gov.) has won with hard work.
- Bulova appears unopposed too
38th District (Fairfax/Annandale):
39th District (Fairfax):
40th District:
41st District (Fairfax):
42nd District (Sourthern Fairfax county, Rolling Road):
- Dave Albo (R) - Albo is the second most offensive jerk in the Virginia House of Delegates right now and it is a horrible shame no one is opposing him
43rd District (Southern Fairfax county, Virginia Hills):
- Mark Sickles (D) Sickles rocks, and deserves to be considered for higher offices
44th District (Mount Vernon):
45th District (Alexandria):
46th District (Alexandria):
47th District (Arlington):
48th District (Arlington):
49th District (Alexandria):
50th District (Manassas Park):
- Jeanette Rishell (D) - Jeanette is awesome, gentle, kind, compassionate
- Jackson Miller (R) - racist, corrupt, everything the neo-con agenda stands for
51st District (Southern Prince William county):
52nd District (Woodbridge):
- Christopher Brown (D) Go Chris Go!
- Jeff Frederick (R) This guy makes my moderate Republican friends sick because he's so extreme. One of the anti-tax, free lunch morons. He ties with Lingamfilter for 3rd or 4th worst Delegate.
53rd District (Falls Church):
67th District (Fairfax and Loudon counties, South Riding):
